Setup Wizard

Setup wizard could guide you to complete the necessary steps for the setup, which include LAN setting and WAN setting.

Status

Status show router's run time setting.

  • LAN information - show current LAN IP address and netmask. In PPPoE unnumbered environment, router should having 2 IP address.

  • DHCP information - show DHCP daemon enable/disable and lease pool range.

  • WAN connection information, show WAN IP address, netmask, gateway and DNS information.

  • LAN Ethernet Status

  • WAN Ethernet Status

  • Wireless Status - show wireless information and also associated client information.

  • ARP Table

  • DHCP Lease Table

  • Routing Table

  • UPnP Port Mapping Table

Logout

Administrator check this button to release monopolistic control to router. Otherwise administrator will lose control after 180 seconds without any control action to admin web page.

 

 

Network Configuration

LAN Configuration - Provide following configurable items.

  • LAN IP Address, provide full range IP address setting ability. Default setting is 192.168.1.254.

  • LAN Subnet Mask, provide full range subnet mask setting ability. Default is 255.255.255.0.

  • DHCP Daemon Enable/Disable

  • DHCP Lease Pool Range

  • DHCP Static MAC Mapping, static MAC mapping provide ability to reserve some static IP address for some specified hosts by MAC address.

WAN Configuration - WAN configuration support 4 kind of connection type as following, and also, up to 4 connection record could be saved inside the router.

  • PPPoE, following parameters is need for PPPoE connection configuration.

Parameter Field Explanation
ISP Number

ISP Number is assigned by system, fall into 1 ~ 4.

ISP Name

Name for this connection record.

User ID

PPP ID.

Password

PPP password.

Service Name

PPPoE Service Name.

AC Name

PPPoE AC Name.

Manual DNS1

If Manual DNS1 & DNS2 all empty, router will using the setting got from PPP negotiation.

Manual DNS2

If Manual DNS1 & DNS2 all empty, router will using the setting got from PPP negotiation.

DNS Domain Name

DNS domain name is use for DHCP daemon assigned to internal LAN during dynamic IP address negotiation. This field could be configure as empty.
If DNS domain name is empty, router will using the setting got from PPP negotiation.

Authentication Type

Support CHAP, PAP, or Auto.

Connection

Support automatic connect, and manual connect.

MTU

Configurable range from 1000 ~ 1500.

NAT Setup

Support NAT disable, NAT enable, and NAT enable & UPnP enable.

UPnP Delete Time

Configurable time from 1 hours ~ unlimited.

  • Dynamic IP Address, following parameters is need for dynamic IP address connection configuration.

Parameter Field Explanation
ISP Number

ISP Number is assigned by system, fall into 1 ~ 4.

ISP Name

Name for this connection record.

Host Name

Host name configuration, some ISP request router provide it's host information to obtain dynamic IP address using.

Gateway

If gateway is empty, router will using the setting got from dynamic IP address negotiation.

Manual DNS1

If Manual DNS1 & DNS2 all empty, router will using the setting got from dynamic IP address negotiation.

Manual DNS2

If Manual DNS1 & DNS2 all empty, router will using the setting got from dynamic IP address negotiation.

DNS Domain Name

DNS domain name is use for DHCP daemon assigned to internal LAN during dynamic IP address negotiation. This field could be configure as empty.
If DNS domain name is empty, router will using the setting got from dynamic IP address negotiation.

Configurable range from 1000 ~ 1500.

  • Static IP Address, following parameters is need for static IP address connection configuration.

WAN subnet mask.

WAN Gateway

WAN gateway.

Manual DNS1

DNS setting, if administrator leave DNS1 and DNS2 empty. Router will lose ability to process DNS resolve, and also a empty DNS setting will assigned from DHCP daemon to LAN host. In such case, LAN host need configure it's own DNS setting by himself.

Manual DNS2

DNS setting, if administrator leave DNS1 and DNS2 empty. Router will lose ability to process DNS resolve, and also a empty DNS setting will assigned from DHCP daemon to LAN host. In such case, LAN host need configure it's own DNS setting by himself.

Connection

Session Configuration - session configuration provide session management ability. Router support backup session, and in PPPoE and PPPoE unnumbered. On the other hand, in static or dynamic IP address connection type, only main session configuration is needed.

  • Main Session, could be configure as PPPoE type, dynamic IP address type, static IP address type, PPPoE unnumbered type.

  • Backup Session, PPPoE type and PPPoE unnumbered type can configure his backup session. Backup session must be PPPoE type. It means, PPPoE type's backup session should be PPPoE type, and PPPoE unnumbered type's backup session also should be PPPoE type.

Wireless Configuration

802.11g - Provide following configurable items.

Parameter Field Explanation
Region

Show current region information, this filed is configure by factory.

HW Info

Show current wireless card module.

RF Type

RF type, configurable for 802.11g.

Channel

Available channels depend on wireless card and region setting. All available channel would be selectable in combo box.

SSID

Router SSID configuration.

Rate

RF rate configuration.

Hidden SSID

Configurable enable/disable hidden SSID, default is enable. Enable this setting to prevent SSID been scannable.

Authentication Type

Configurable for following setting
open system / shared key / WPA Pre-shared key/ WPA

WEP

Configurable for following setting
disable / 64 bits / 128 bits

WEP Default Key

Configurable for following setting
Key 1 / Key 2 / Key 3 / Key 4

WEP Key

WEP key in hex format.

Passphrase

The Key use for WPA authentication.

MAC Access Control - Provide configurable enable/disable MAC access control. Support up to 32 MAC address setting.

Static Routing Table

Support up to 4 static routing rules.

Virtual Server

Virtual server setting split into two different case. Case 1 is router having only 1 global IP address, PPPoE/DHCP/Static is this case. Case 2 is router having more than 1 global IP address, normal having 8 or 16 IP address, PPPoE unnumbered is this case. In case 1, virtual server only need to configure LAN host information, because WAN IP address always the same, but in case 2, virtual server also need to configure which WAN IP address need redirect to internal LAN host.

DMZ Support - Provide configurable enable/disable DMZ host setting. While DMZ is enable, all connection connect to router except the packets configure to virtual server will redirect to DMZ host. And also, DMZ host will be transparent to firewall setting.

PPPoE/DHCP/Static Type - provide following configurable items.

Firewall Rule

Security Configuration

  • Security One-Touch Setting, provide following check box configuration.

  • The access of a set screen of this machine from the WAN side is prohibited.

  • The access from G-IP to P-IP is prohibited inside LAN.

  • The access by private Internet Protocol address is interactively prohibited.

  • The remote Net BIOS/file sharing/printer sharing/PC access is interactively prohibited.

  • Stealth Mode, provide following check box configuration.

  • The existence of the router cannot be detected from the Internet side.

  • Unfriendly Access Detection, provide following check box configuration.

  • The full state packet inspection is used. (Dynamic packet filtering.)

  • The attack detection is done. (The detection history is left for the log.)

VPN Pass Through - Enable/Disable VPN pass through. If administrator configure a host to enable VPN pass through, router will automatically setting virtual server and firewall setting for this host. All VPN packets will be transparent and will redirect to this host. VPN pass through works, either VPN server behind the LAN side or VPN server locate at WAN side. For different VPN pass through setting, only 1 host can be configured as pass through. Supported VPN type as follows.

  • PPTP Pass Through

  • IPSec Pass Through

  • L2TP Pass Through

Static Rule - Support up to 64 static firewall rules, configurable fields as follows.

DNS Configuration

DNS Relay: configuration setting for enable/disable. In multi-session environment, DNS relay need to be configure as enable.

Dynamic DNS: configuration setting for enable/disable.

Domain Name

Input your domain name for Dynamic DNS Server.

Login Name

Input your Login name for Dynamic DNS Server.

Password

Input your Password for Dynamic DNS Server.

Wildcards

setting for enable/disable.

URL Blocking

Configuration setting for enable/disable, monitor 4 port number and support 10 keywords.

 

 

PPP Monitor

Provide monitor/connect/disconnect ability to PPP connection.

Reboot

Restart the router. Reboot won't change any setting of router.

Initialization

Restore router setting to factory default.

Change Password

Change administrator's ID/password.

Upgrade Firmware

Upgrade firmware to another firmware version. Current firmware version show in About page.

Backup/Restore

Backup current router's setting to file.

Restore router's setting from backup file.

Log Information

Log information keep the messages from router power on, and all log records will be reject when every time router reboot. Following log messages are supported by router.

Firewall Log - Show firewall log information.

WAN Connection - Show PPPoE &  Dynamic IP address negotiate log information.

UPnP Log - Show UPnP add port & del port log information.

Save Maintenance

Save current setting and log information to file. In this function, password item of WAN connection setting will be remove.

Ping

Utility for test router's connection.
